Jason and Samantha Griffiths welcome you to Griff’s Place. Since we’re inviting you in, perhaps you might like to get to know us a bit.

Jason has been interested in Apple computers his whole life. He grew up in Dubbo NSW and moved to Melbourne in 2000 to work in the IT industry. Since then he has collected any interesting Apple tech he’s encountered and then some.

Jason’s brother in Perth started his own collection; of pinball machines. One day he asked Jason to pick up and look after a purchase he made in Melbourne until he could collect it. That sparked a new interest in Jason, which is how our Arcade machine collection began.

Sam has tried her hand at a few industries, from making pizza to managing 2 video stores, until she became a primary school teacher in 2013. She continues to work as a substitute teacher when Griff’s isn’t open. Sam enjoys creating things, though is not very arty (despite a couple of stints in primary school art rooms!) so working with Jason to develop Griff’s Place into what it is now has enabled Sam to bring our ideas to life.

Jason and Sam have 2 teenage daughters, 2 bee hives and 7 chooks. We moved to Cockatoo in 2014 and have lived in the area since. We are so pleased to be able to share Griff’s Place with the community we love.
